The Wizards Tarot™ Page of Swords
Page of Swords

Messenger of Air

The youngest member of the sylph family is a living, breathing contradiction in terms: she’s the embodiment of air. She might be a physical being, but the normal rules of gravity can’t hold her down.

You won’t find her at ground level, either. The Page of Swords perches high in the branches of a tree, surrounded by butterflies. She’s observant and alert: she has a bird’s-eye view, and nothing can escape her eagle eye.

While pages are students and messengers, the Page of Swords may take her role to a higher level. She almost looks like an undercover operative, a reconnaissance warrior, or a spy. She’s the perfect intelligence officer to send on an information-gathering mission.

The Page of Swords is also a vivid reminder that little birds have ears, and that thoughts — and voices — can travel on a wing and a prayer.

She wears feathers in her hair, and her own colorful wings fall like a cape behind her. Her sword, the emblem of her suit, looks heavier than air, but she doesn’t seem to have any trouble carrying its weight.

The Page of Swords may look small and harmless, but don’t let her size fool you. Elemental creatures can assume any shape or size you can imagine. Sometimes, their proportions are  a matter of perspective. When you catch a glimpse of the Page of Swords, she might seem small — like a sprite or a fairy — or she could pass for human.
