• The weather is clearly a hardship. The students also look tired, cold, and hungry. We can even throw poverty into the mix, because most students are penniless, most of the time.

• The window is stained glass, and it features a modified Tree of Life design. Inside, the two young men can find the warmth and enlightenment of wisdom, along with the resources they’ll need to build a better life for themselves.
