Hero of Water

The Knight of Cups is a romantic soul. He’s a sensitive idealist, a dreamer, and an artist. He’s intuitive, and he’s not afraid to dive deep into the world of emotion. He’d be quite a catch for any woman — but undines, like fish, can be elusive.

This knight, like all of the knights, is also an explorer. He seems to have uncovered an underwater treasure — a silver chalice, engraved with the water signs of Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces. He’s also holding his trident at the ready, as a sign of his eventual rule over the realm of water.

The three circles on the chain around his neck suggest the union of body, mind, and spirit, or past, present, and future. His wrists are covered with brass cuffs, to accent his muscular arms. There’s a shield on the center of his forehead, and his hair, like seaweed, streams in the gently moving currents.

The Knight of Cups swims in shallow waters of a tropical reef, near an outcropping of coral. He’s surrounded by a school of brightly colored tropical fish. Both the coral and the fish suggest his unspoken connection to other creatures of land and sea.
